The challenge
As urban life changes at unprecedented speeds, so do the living needs of metro citizens. Amidst rising living costs in metropoles a slow divergence from the traditional family living format towards a demand for (professional) 'friends' or co-living housing. The trend follows a more prominent focus on career life and financial success, delaying the traditional marriage and family centric housing model. Parallel to this, lies the problem that prospective tenants face the problem of not meeting traditional income requirements on their own. Co-living poses a more economical solution to housing scarcity and living precarity without the mystical involvement of the tides of love. Allowing young professionals to elevate themselves to the next step, and enjoy more privacy whilst navigating life. However, this transition to co-living comes with significant challenges. Finding compatible roommates who share similar living standards and personal habits is difficult, especially when ensuring harmony in shared spaces. Additionally, most residential properties aren't designed with co-living in mind, lacking the necessary features like equal-sized bedrooms, ample communal areas, and flexible layouts to accommodate the diverse needs of residents. These issues necessitate a platform that can efficiently match individuals with similar lifestyles and provide access to appropriately designed living spaces.
The solution
TGTHR is a dynamic platform that focuses on the interactive matchmaking of cohabitants, offering a collaborative design environment where users can align on their ideal living spaces.
