The challenge
Most people get their worldview from the news or social media, which are inherently biased towards big sensational events, while ignoring marginal, slow progress that builds up over the years. We then become more negative about the world, more nihilistic, while ignoring the real advances that can be made.
The solution
Inspired by "Factfulness" by Hans Rosling, Factfulness Dashboard aims to increase data literacy and give people insight into how the world has improved and where we face the most challenges. It does this by simply displaying data and highlighting how a country has changed in the last 20/10/5 years. No manipulation is done and all data comes directly from the World Bank. Hopefully this can surprise some people with the headway that has been made in the last few years.
